About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) attachment for solicitation 36C24825Q0556, specifically addressing a contract for replacing and installing electrical panels at Lakemont and Viera VA facilities. The VA is seeking a contractor to replace electrical cabinet panels and enclosures at two sites, with specific requirements including using Eaton panels that match existing configurations, performing cleaning and sealing, and completing Arc Flash labels and coordination studies. Key technical details include replacing panels in multiple switchboards at the Lakemont facility and conducting a complete panel replacement at the Viera facility.

The solicitation indicates an anticipated award in early to mid-May, with a Notice to Proceed (NTP) expected around the third week of May and a 60-day performance period. The VA tentatively prefers new equipment and will make a Best Value Determination based on quotes. Critical requirements include 14-day advance notice for utility shutdowns, work primarily conducted during non-standard hours (weekends, holidays, evenings, or nights), and coordination with VA point of contact Scott Reed. The project scope explicitly excludes electrical components, conduits, and feeders, focusing solely on panel and enclosure replacement.
