About this file

This document is a meeting transcript for a pre-bid site walk for the 656-25-209 Repaint Water Tower project, held on April 9, 2025. Key discussion points include paint specifications, warranty expectations, and project timeline. The participants, Neil Anderson and Dwayne Brauch, discussed the need for potential multiple paint type bids due to budget considerations, with a warranty expectation of three years (though Anderson suggested five years might be typical). The project timeline aims for completion by the end of fall, with an estimated two-month window for badging and site access processes. The Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) will conduct daily inspections, and the meeting was recorded for future reference, with plans to distribute meeting minutes along with an amendment and sign-in sheet.

656-25-209 Repaint Water Tower Pre bid Meeting and Site walk-20250409_091537-Meeting Transcript

April 9, 2025, 2:15PM 4m 6s

Anderson, Neil W. 0:03 Responsible for anything on the inside from welding process on the exterior. If you have to cut a hole then that would be a risk I would have to do a risk assessment at that time. Sure, just because of potential contamination.

And I think that's probably a good example of questions that should be put into writing to sure contracting officer.

Yeah, and responded complete.

Brauch, Dwayne D. 0:26 Yes, yes.

Anderson, Neil W. 0:28 Yep, that way everyone gets the answer please.

Sure, sure. You'll submit those and then everybody will have the same verbiage to go by.

Brauch, Dwayne D. 0:35 Correct. I was just gonna state that.

Anderson, Neil W. 0:38 Is there going to be any quality control inspection on the job?

The Cor will be doing daily inspections.

No third party at this point, I don't know.

Is that something you'd be interested in?

Brauch, Dwayne D. 0:54 That can be discussed at a later time.

Anderson, Neil W. 0:56 Sure.

There will be another question to write down sentence.

And there's another one you could write down, but it's just as far as the the coding expectation as far as performance.

It just says a primer intermediate top.

Yeah, we don't know when.

The other projects are gonna come around to repair and upgrade, so we need something that's gonna be on there for years. OK? And 'cause, that's a that could be a significant price difference, I understand.

So if you want to put in two different bids.

One for each different paint type. I think that's understandable because we we do have budget issues just because everything has been discussed already and as far as warranty.

I would imagine a typical warranty.

A minimum of five years, I'd say, it says.

Three years in the documents I believe. OK. OK.

Brauch, Dwayne D. 1:58 Yeah.

Anderson, Neil W. 2:00 I've never heard of five warranty.

Yeah. Or they're usually two hours, but anyways.

Do you know if they're expecting this to be awarded and completed yet this year?

We're hoping to have it done by the end of the fall.

Brauch, Dwayne D. 2:18 Yes.

Anderson, Neil W. 2:25 Due to badging issues for people working on site, we allotted two months, but it's kind of where the ballpark is, where getting stuff done.

For badging purposes.

It can be quite sooner than that.

Depends on how quickly we get turned around on the information retained was and process.

Brauch, Dwayne D. 2:58 All right, Neil.

I don't have anything else for the group.

Anderson, Neil W. 3:01 OK. Will you be sending?

Brauch, Dwayne D. 3:02 So if you what's that?

Anderson, Neil W. 3:05 Are you sending out meeting minutes then?

This eating.

Brauch, Dwayne D. 3:11 Uh.

Jess, has this been recorded?

Anderson, Neil W. 3:21 Jess is not present.

Hinojosa, Braedan C. 3:24 Yes, Duane, this is being recorded.

Brauch, Dwayne D. 3:26

OK.

Yeah. Then we can.

We can attach the meeting minutes to the when we send out the what you call it the amendment, what the questions and the sign in sheet.

So Neil, they're all yours.

Go ahead and take them out to the the site.

Anderson, Neil W. 3:47

OK.

Brauch, Dwayne D. 3:50 All right.

Thank you everybody for joining me today.

Anderson, Neil W. 3:53 Thank you, Doherty.

Brauch, Dwayne D. 3:54 All right.

Thank you.
