Estimated Date of Award: Nov 12, 2024

Synopsis:

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Decatur, Georgia on behalf of the Atlanta VA Medical Center located at 1670 Clairmont Road, Decatur, GA 30033 intends to award a sole source procurement for the Chiller Repair as well as well as updates, maintenance services and/or installation.

Item Description: CLIN 0001: 1 R'NEWAL SERVICE FOR BUILDING 128/129 TO INCLUDE REMOVAL AND REPLACING COMPRESSORS,CONDENSORS COILS, NEW LIQUID LINE DRIERS, CHECK REFRIDGERANT FOR LEAKS, REPLACE CONDENSOR FAN MOTORS AND BLADES, RE-INSTALL REFRIDGERANTS, AND SET-UP/CHECK SYSTEMS.

Item Description: CLIN 0001: R'NEWAL SERVICE FOR BUILDING 131 TO INCLUDE REMOVAL AND REPLACING COMPRESSORS,CONDENSORS COILS, NEW LIQUID LINE DRIERS, CHECK REFRIDGERANT FOR LEAKS, REPLACE CONDENSOR FAN MOTORS AND BLADES, RE-INSTALL REFRIDGERANTS, AND SET-UP/CHECK SYSTEMS.

The contract is for a one-time service. The manufacturer is Trane US Inc, and Trane US Inc is the only authorized distributor for this requirement is of this system without voiding the warranty. The applicable NAICS code for this procurement is 333415 – HVAC Contractors and Manufacturers, with a business size standard of $22 million.

Furthermore, the Contracting Officer has determined that no opportunities exist for competition for either Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) or Veteran Owned Small Businesses

(VOSB). The Contracting Officer has determined that Trane US Inc, is a large business.

Therefore, the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the Authority of

FAR 13.106-1 which states that Contracting Officers may solicit from one source if the Contracting

Officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available. This is because market research efforts found that Trane US Inc has deemed Trane US Inc, as the exclusive reseller and/or maintenance technicians for this opportunity.

This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, the Government will consider all quotes by November 1, 2024 at 2:00pm EST. You firm provide documentation on letterhead stating that it is authorized to perform maintenance and Trane US Inc equipment. A determination by the

Government not to compete with the proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
