This Addendum hereby modifies, supplements, and amends the Contract Documents, as prepared by Perspectus Architecture. Wherein this Addendum varies or is in conflict with the Contract Documents, the requirements of this Addendum shall govern. In all other particulars, the requirements of the original Specifications and Contract Documents, including any previous Addenda, shall govern.

This addendum is comprised of the following items:

DRAWINGS

No. Item 1 Existing chase walls north of Room 1B080 to be demolished and replaced with 2 HR rated construction. Wall type G2 added to Partition Schedule with UL# U438.

2 Existing rated soffit in 1B476 to remain and its rated construction verified. In new construction room 1B478, a new soffit is to match the height and depth of the existing, adjacent soffit.

PARTIAL FIRST FLOOR DEMOLITION PLAN - PHASE 51

CODED DEMOLITION NOTES

1 Remove interior partition from floor to underside of structure above.

Prepare all adjacent surfaces to receive new construction and scheduled finish. Existing walls shown to be removed shall be demolished complete. This includes the removal of reinforcement, soffits, doors, windows, frames and overhead bracing. Coord. with mech. and elec. for disconnection and removal of exist utilities and devices located within areas scheduled to be demolished.

1a Remove plaster/finishes from wall. Prepare all adjacent surfaces to receive new construction and scheduled finish. Coord with mech and elec for disconnection and removal of exist utilities and devices located within areas scheduled to be demolished.

1b Remove gypsum board from wall. This includes above ceilings, doors and windows. Prepare all adjacent surfaces to receive new construction and scheduled finish. Coord with mech and elec for disconnection and removal of exist utilities and devices located within areas scheduled to be demolished.

2 Remove portion of wall as required for new opening. Patch/repair adjacent surfaces to match existing. Prepare surfaces for scheduled finishes.

2a Remove portion of wall as required for new opening. Provide shoring and newheader and lintel to support existing masonry and wall above. Patch/repair adjacent surfaces to match existing. Prepare surfaces for scheduled finishes.

3 Remove existing door, frame, anchors, thresholds, and hardware as indicated within limits of construction. Patch and repair wall and floor to match existing. Owner shall have the right to salvage any and all doors and hardware. Contractor shall verify doors for salvage or relocation prior to commencing demolition.

3a Remove existing door panel and hinges. Infill jamb area where hinges were removed, sand smooth and finish frame to match existing or scheduled finish. Owner shall have the right to salvage any and all doors and hardware. Contractor shall verify doors for salvage or relocation prior to commencing demolition.

3c Remove existing door, frame, sidelight, anchors, thresholds, and hardware as indicated within limits of construction. Patch and repair wall and floor to match existing. Owner shall have the right to salvage any and all doors and hardware. Contractor shall verify doors for salvage or relocation prior to commencing demolition.

4 Remove existing ceiling system, supports, ties, and related equpiment within limits of construction (unless noted otherwise).

Coordinate with electrical work on removal and/ or relocation of lights, conduit, ties, supports, and related wiring. Coordinate with mechanical on removal of diffusers, grills and related ductwork and equipment. Contractor shall verify fixtures for salvage or relocation prior to commencing demolition.

5 Door hardware to be replaced and door slab and frame to be reused/reinstalled: Remove and Retain existing door hardware.

Patch and repair wall and floor to match existing. Owner shall have the right to salvage any and all doors and hardware. Contractor shall verify doors for salvage or relocation prior to commencing demolition.

6 Remove plumbing fixtures as indicated within limits of construction.

Cap all plumbing lines not required by new construction. Coordinate with plumbing plans for additional information. Remove all accessories associated with plumbing fixtures including partitions, grab bars, dispensers, racks, shelving, sink base, disposals, etc.

7 Remove exist. floor finish and base from entire room to top of structural slab or subfloor as req'd for new construction. Patch and level exist floor to receive new finish as scheduled. Level per new floor finish manuf recommendations. Patch exist walls as reqd to receive new finish as scheduled.

8 Remove exist. millwork as indicated within limits of construction.

Coordinate removal of plumbing fixtures, diffusers, and devices with mep. drawings. Cabinets and counter tops may be required to be salvaged. Coord. with Owner.

9 Remove and relocate existing pneumatic tube station 10 Refer to finish plan for extent of existing wall finishes to remain this area.

11 Remove concealed window and replace with wall infill to match existing adjacent and provide lintel as required.

12 Remove and salvage lockers for Owner.

13 See finish draings for additional information 14 Existing rated soffit to remain. Contractor to verify 2 HR construction.

GENERAL DEMOLITION NOTES

A Refer to specifications section 024119 - Selective Demolition for additional requirements and information.

B Project Scope line is indicated for general intent only. Additional demolition will be req'd. outside of this line. Architectural demolition drawings are for schematic purposes. Contractor shall coord. all demolition with the entire set of contract documents for full scope of demolition work req'd for the project.

C Exist. conditions shown on these drawings are not guaranteed to be complete. The contractor shall verify all exist. conditions, dimensions, and materials req'd for the contracted work. Report all discrepencies to architect prior to fabrication, erection, and/or installation.

D Coord. all new penetrations and/or openings with other associated trades.

E The Owner may select and tag items for demolition to be salvaged.

The contractor shall remove selected items from the scope of work and deliver to the Owner's requested location within the exist. facility.

F Contractor shall provide HEPA filtered negative air machine(s) to maintain negative pressure to scope of work area ensuring no dust will be transfered to occupied areas. Provide visual pressure monitoring device at dust proof barricade to confirm pressure.

G The Facility's exist. smoke and fire suppression system shall remain in operation during the entire construction phase.

H All demolition work being done outside of temporary partitions is to be appropriately sealed off to prevent the transmission of dust and debris and minimize disruption to visitors, residents, and staff.

Coord. location of barriers with Owner.

J Remove partitions indicated to the underside of the structure above.

K Some items may be indicated in the demolition drawings and demolition notes which are not necessarily demolition work but are included to describe the overall scope of the project and to aid in the demolition coord. The contractor is responsible for all work required to complete the intended work of the overall project.

L Flooring demolition includes the removal of exist. floor finishes, including vct., sheet vinyl, ceramic tile, quarry tile, carpet and other finishes, grouts, mastics, and setting beds complete to exist. conc.

floor slab or other substrate ready for new floor finishes. Floor preparation shall be by the installing contractor.

M Remove misc. items within limits of demolition. Coord with Owner any items to be salvaged.

N Demolition of ceilings includes, grid, tile, supports, soffits, and related items as well as any ceiling mtd. elec. and mech. fixtures contained therein.

O Plug abandoned floor openings with new conc. Plug shall match exist. slab depth and be structurally sound to carry floor load of 100 lbs./ sq. ft. unless noted otherwise.

P All fire rated assemblies (columns, shafts, walls, etc.) shall be maintained or be relocated/ patched. Match exist. fire rating unless noted otherwise.

Q Where new wall/door openings are indicated to be cut into an existing wall: Prepare wall for new opening; Patch adjacent walls to match existing; Provide lintels as required to support existing construction.

D Refer to Q- series drawings for furniture and equipment location coordination. Dashed furniture and equipment items shown for reference only and is not part of the General Contract. 1. All partitions are type A1 unless noted otherwise.

2. Refer to the Life Safety Plans for fire barriers, fire partitions, smoke barriers and smoke partitions.

3. Fire resistance rating indicated on the Life Safety Plan shall mean the entire length and height of the partition inidcated to be fire rated. All piping, ducts cabinets etc that penetrate partitions shall be installed in a manner that will preserve the fire resistant rating of the partition.

4. Partitions are dimensioned from the face of gypsum board exclusive of finish materials such as porcelain tile or wood paneling. Coordinate finish dimensions with finish schedule.

5. Provide blocking in partitions for wall mounted accessories.

6. Provide water resistant gypsum board at plumbing locations unless cementitious backer board is specified.

7. Metals studs shall be 20 gage minimum. Maximum height is 15'-0".

Partition heights that exceed 15'-0" shall increase in gage in accordance with the Steel Stud Manufacturers Assosciation Technical Guide, Latest Edition.
