About this file
This document is an Amendment of Solicitation/Modification of Contract for the Department of Veterans Affairs to renovate Building 10 for a Clinical Learning Center (CLC) at the Waco VA campus. Amendment 0002 extends the proposal deadline to September 9, 2025, at 10:00 AM Central Standard Time and publishes responses to 107 Requests for Information (RFIs) covering various project aspects including structural, architectural, electrical, fire protection, and environmental considerations.
Key project details include a comprehensive renovation involving new wall systems, window replacements, fire alarm and suppression system replacements, asbestos abatement, and utility modifications. The project is a design-bid-build contract with specific requirements for special inspections, ICRA (Infection Control Risk Assessment) levels, and fire watch procedures. Contractors must provide unit pricing for certain items, submit shop drawings, and comply with VA specifications. The solicitation encourages Past Performance Questionnaires (PPQs) and allows consideration of subcontractor experience. Bid bonds are required, and the government has removed previously mentioned deduct alternates from the acquisition.
