About this file

This document contains construction specifications for the rehabilitation of the Conneautville Dam in Crawford County, Pennsylvania. The project objectives are to rehabilitate the dam to meet or exceed state and federal dam safety criteria and maintain the current level of flood protection.

The key work required includes realignment of the auxiliary spillway channel and expansion of the training dike, installation of a sheet pile wall along the left side of the auxiliary spillway, lime treatment of dispersive soils, reconfiguration of the embankment drain pipes, construction of a filter diaphragm below the principal spillway outlet conduit, and replacement of the existing trash rack. Due to anticipated subsurface water and soft soils, dewatering and soil stabilization efforts will be needed. The solicitation is a 100% small business set-aside with a bid guarantee and performance and payment bonds required. The anticipated period of performance is 217 calendar days.
