Subject: USAID/Rwanda - NOTICE OF INFORMATION Water and Sanitation Infrastructure and Capacity Building Activity

The United States Government, represented by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), Rwanda, seeks to improve water and sanitation infrastructure and local capacity and is in the exploring the development of a new activity. It is proposed that the new activity may work with district governments in developing district water and sanitation plans explicitly considering gender and equity. Additionally, it may support expanding access to drinking water supply under public-private partnerships, while building technical and managerial capacity on both the district government and the private operator sides for this model of water service delivery. It may work with both existing and potential new sanitation supply chain actors and entrepreneurs, potentially through Global Development Alliance partnerships. Finally, it may work within the regulatory environment on policy issues that may constrain or enhance private sector engagement.

THIS IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. It is not a Request for Proposals, a Request for Quotations, a Request for Information, an Invitation for Bids, a Solicitation, or an indication USAID/Rwanda will contract for the items contained in this Special Notice.

This Notice is an attempt to share information broadly and will be treated as information only.
