REQUEST FOR BIDS

Second Street Parking Lot Repave Rudyard Area Schools will receive bids through the Administrative Office, until 12:00 noon, June 30, 2025 at Rudyard Area Schools, 11185 W 2nd Street, Rudyard, MI 49780, for the repaving of the parking lots. Bids shall be directed to the Superintendent, securely sealed with the words “Second Street Repave” clearly marked on the outside. The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and to waive any informality in the bidding.

District Proposal Form: Second Street Parking Lot Repave Requirements Removal of old blacktop and sidewalks and dispose of material on site in area defined by school officials.

Relining parking spots and drop-off areas as prescribed by the school district.

Bidder must use District Proposal Forms. Failure to use provided forms will result in rejection of bid.

Bidder must submit with their bid the proposed specifications.

Bidder shall list any variations from or exceptions to the conditions and specifications of this bid.

Bidder is advised that the District is exempt from Michigan Sales tax.

The price quoted shall be “out the door” F.O.B. Rudyard Area Schools 11185 W 2nd Street, Rudyard, MI 49780.

The District reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, waive irregularities and make the award in the best interest of the District.

Minimum Specifications

• Sawcut existing asphalt longitudinally along Second Street

• Sawcut each respective building entrance sidewalk

• Excavate 35’ x 804’ (including 5’ sidewalk parallel to building) to a depth to allow the following pavement profile o Place 6 oz separator fabric, overlap fabric joints a minimum of 2 feet o Place 10” of 21AA Limestone over separator fabric, compact in place o Pave with 3” of hot mix asphalt

• Place 10’ x 20’ striped parking stalls along the entire paved strip, six stalls shall be ADA compliant, with two of these having a van unloading area

• Place ADA compliant signage on the grass side of each stall, with the van unloading areas having the appropriate “van unloading” sign included

FAMILIAR RELATIONSHIP DISCLOSURE

AFFIDAVIT OF COMPLIANCE – IRAN ECONOMIC SANCTIONS ACT

The undersigned, the owner or authorized officer of the below named contractor (the “Contractor”), pursuant to the compliance certification requirement provided in Rudyard Area Schools (the “School District”) Invitation to Bid, hereby certifies, represents and warrants that the Contractor (including its officers, directors, and employees) is not an “Iran linked business” within the meaning of the Iran Economics Sanction Act, Michigan Public Act No. 517 of 2012 (the “Act”), and that in the event Contractor is awarded a contract as a result of the aforementioned Invitation to Bid, the Contractor will not become an “Iran linked business” at any time during the course of performing the Work or any services under the contract.

The Contractor further acknowledges that any person who is found to have submitted a false certification is responsible for all civil penalty of not more than $250,000.00 or 2 times the amount of the contract or proposed contract for which the false certification was made, whichever is greater, the cost of the School District’s investigation, and reasonable attorney fees, in addition to the fine. Moreover, any person who submitted a false certification shall be ineligible to bid on a request for proposal for three (3) years from the date that is determined that the person submitted the false certification.
