About this file
This document is a Request for Information (RFI) from the Department of the Army Materiel Command Army Contracting Command for medical alert and monitoring devices to be used in a secure environment. The key requirements include:
The system must have wearable buttons and a central monitoring unit that displays a visual indicator and emits an alert when a button is pressed. The buttons must have a minimum 650-foot range from the central unit and emit a sound when activated. The system cannot have GPS tracking, internet connectivity, or the ability to connect to third-party monitoring services outside the operational area. The system should be similar to the Synlett monitoring device, but the Synlett device does not meet the requirement for the button to emit a sound when pressed. The agency is requesting information from suppliers/manufacturers on the availability of devices meeting these specifications. No pricing, award dates, or set-asides are provided in this RFI.
