About this file
This document is a Sources Sought (Market Survey) issued by the National Park Service for the Rocky Mountain National Park's Thunder Mountain Fuels Reduction Project. The primary objective is to reduce wildland fire threats to adjacent communities and municipal watersheds by implementing fuel load reduction and fuels arrangement modifications within the park boundary. Work will include felling standing trees, pruning remaining trees, removing ladder fuels, bucking dead material, and creating material piles for future burning, all to be completed using hand crews with chainsaws and non-motorized tools.
The project is classified under NAICS code 115310 with a small business size standard of $34M, and the anticipated service magnitude exceeds $500K. Interested contractors must be registered as a small business in the System for Award Management (SAM) under this NAICS code. Responses are required by July 30, 2025, at 1700 EDT, to be submitted via email to Stephen Loftus, Contracting Officer.
