About this file
This document is a Robins Air Force Base 2026 Industry Day Quad Chart Deck presenting over 150 potential procurement and repair opportunities across multiple military aircraft platforms and defense systems. The file contains detailed specifications for required parts, components, and manufacturing/repair services organized by aircraft type (B-1 Lancer, B-52H Bomber, C-130 Hercules, C-5 Galaxy, F-16 Fighting Falcon, T-38 Talon) and specialized systems (radar systems, electronic aircraft countermeasures, engines). Each quad chart entry includes the National Stock Number (NSN), part number, forecasted buy/repair costs, dimensional specifications, drawing availability, out-year requirements through fiscal year 2030, and delivery dates by March 26, 2026.
The Air Force seeks qualified vendors for multiple procurement strategies including New Buy (AS), Repair (AS), Reverse Engineering, Market Research, and Other Transactional Authority (OTA) projects. Notable high-value opportunities include B-52 window replacements (multiple positions ranging from $5,822-$9,999 per unit with 5-16 units needed in FY26), C-5 landing gear components (pistons and cylinders exceeding $200,000 per unit), and various C-130 avionics and subsystems. Interested vendors must submit capabilities statements, white papers, or Source Approval Request (SAR) packages to 429SCMS.SASPO.Workflow@us.af.mil, with technical discussions scheduled for April-May 2026. The deck indicates critical supply shortages, obsolescence issues, and instances where current contractors cannot fulfill commitments, creating opportunities for alternative suppliers to support warfighter readiness through 2050 and beyond.

No. 3 Pilot LH Windshield: Rev. Engineering Tinker AFB – AFLCMC
Additional Comments
B-52 has experienced a common problem over the past several years, with the problem increasing significantly within the past seven months – not having serviceable replacement windows available from supply. B-52 windows are routinely evaluated while the aircraft is operating in the field and when the aircraft returns to Tinker AFB for Programmed Depot Maintenance (PDM). Windows #1, #2LH, #2RH, #3LH, #3RH, #4LH, #4RH, #5LH, and #5RH are electrically heated and constructed of two layers of laminated glass sandwiching a vinyl core. Replacement worthy structural defects commonly found include delamination between layers, vinyl core cracking, permanent vinyl core cloudiness, and glass pane cracking, scratching, and chipping. Contracts for new window deliveries have been allowed to go delinquent for years with the main manufacturer citing a variety of excuses.
This lack of contract delivery has come to the forefront now that supply has been all but depleted and forced B-52 engineering to inspect discrepant windows on a case-by-case basis to determine capability to fly as-is in order to avoid grounding aircraft. A sustainable alternative to get B-52 windows back on the shelf is imperative if the fleet is to continue to operate through 2050+.

RPU Compression Motor: Market Research Robins AFB – 407th SCMS
Additional Comments
The RPU compression motor is utilized to run the air compressor for the Radar Pressurization Unit for the APQ-166 system. The motor is obsolete and difficult to procure. We are highly interested in procuring a reliable replacement in order to continue to utilize the system until the RMP is deployed across the B-52 aircraft.

The repair company does not have the TDP rights or the tooling from the OEM to produce more of this item. The GCAC is part of a Ground Collision Avoidance System (GCAS) that provides visual and aural warnings to the crew if the aircraft is approaching terrain too closely, essentially acting as a safety measure to prevent controlled flight into terrain (CFIT) The GCAC alerts the aircraft when a collision with the ground is likely. GCAC provides visual and aural warnings to the pilot and copilot that help identify the cause of the warning and take appropriate action.
