RFQ Attachment 3 – Questions & Answers
9/4/2024 – Amendment 1
Q1. Could you please elaborate on the lead time we would receive between notification and receipt of each potential study (e.g., 2 weeks, 1 month, etc.)?
A1. We anticipate the lead time to be 2 weeks.
Q2. For forecasting purposes, do you have an idea of how frequently we could receive new studies?
Could it be in batches, or would there be a staggered approach to study shipments?
A2. The vendor may receive more than one study within a short period. However, the Government will prioritize the studies, and there is no expectation that multiple studies must be completed simultaneously.
9/10/2024 – Amendment 2
Q3. Current practices may generate more than 4 slides for a representative histopathologic examination if all target tissues noted within the request (lung, liver, spleen, brain) are submitted for histologic processing. This is especially true for rats or similarly sized laboratory animals (e.g.
up to 7 slides). Is such variance acceptable?
A3. Offerors must adhere to the 4 slides per animal requirement detailed in the Statement of Work.
