This document is a Request for Quotation (RFQ) issued by Clover Park Technical College in Lakewood, Washington. The college is seeking to lease Siemens Sinumerik ONE controlled CNC Mill and Lathe equipment to be used for training in their Manufacturing Engineering Technologies (MET) program. The RFQ requests pricing for one CNC Vertical Machining Center and one CNC Horizontal Turning Center, to be leased for five years with an annual payment schedule and service contract included. Quotes are due by October 17, 2024 at 2:00 PM Pacific Time.
The RFQ outlines the detailed technical specifications for the CNC equipment, including minimum axis travel, spindle speeds, and tool capacities. The college reserves the right to accept or reject quotes on each item separately or as a whole, and to award the contract based on factors such as price, quality, vendor capability, and past performance. Vendors are required to provide net pricing, F.O.B. destination, and have the option to propose alternate "or equal" equipment. The RFQ also includes terms related to accessibility compliance, prohibition of PCBs, and potential for use of the contract by other government agencies through interlocal agreements.
