RFQ 21986 Driver Training: Responses to Questions

1. Q: Will the government be providing NVG’s for the training or will that be the contractor’s responsibility?

A: The government will provide student NVGs for the required training.

2. Q: Does the Combined Synopsis/Solicitation under solicitation number RFQ21986 contain requirements similar to a current contract?

A: No.

3. Q: Please identify the location for the required training.

A: Contractor facility.

4. Q: Will the Quantico Academy track be available for use?

A: No.

5. Q: Is training to be conducted at Government or Contractor facilities?

A: Contractor facility.

6. Q: If at a Government facility, are classrooms available?

A: N/A

7. Q: Will the Government furnish the vehicle(s) used for training and provide maintenance support for said vehicles?

A: No.

8. Q: What is the anticipated size of each class?

A: The requirement is for one class only.

9. Q: Please identify the total number of students who will receive training under this contract.

A: 8.

10. Q: Is there a pre-existing class training syllabus?

A: No.

11. Q: If a syllabus is available, will the Government provide that syllabus to the awarded Contractor?

A: N/A

12. Q: Is formal testing required for the class?

A: No.

13. Q: Please identify the method for testing – written, practical application, or both?

A: The method for testing shall be skills based; therefore, the method is practical application,

14. Q: Is pass/fail acceptable for successfully completing the class?

A: Yes.

15. Q: Please identify the criteria for passing the class.

A: The criteria for passing the course is a demonstration of the skills learned during the training course. The demonstration shall be graded as either Pass or Fail. Constructive comments shall be provided to the FBI Contracting Officer’s Representative for any student that does not pass the training.

16. Q: Please identify any security clearance requirements for the instructor(s).

A: None.

17. Q: If the Offeror has an optional initiative in support of the training course, will the government accept an optional pricing CLIN that is consistent with the initiative in the technical course?

A: In accordance with the solicitation, RFQ 21986, page 2:

While the above sets forth the minimum requirements for the technical course, the stated requirements are not intended to limit the offeror’s initiative and ingenuity. The technical course may be expanded to include issues considered by the offeror to be appropriate.
