About this file
This document is a Request for Quotation (RFQ) issued by the Oregon Department of Public Safety Standards and Training (DPSST) for Wildland Firefighting Hand Tools. The RFQ seeks quotes for various types of hand tools, including Combination Pick and Shovel Tools, 34-inch Handle Shovels, 48-inch Handle Rakehoes (McCleod Tools), 36-inch Handle Mattox (Pulaski) Tools, and 34-1/4-inch Handle Forest Adze Hoes (Hazel Hoes). The total quantity requested for each item is 70. The quote is due by 2:00 PM PST on November 16, 2021, and the estimated delivery date is by November 23, 2021 if a purchase order is issued.
The RFQ specifies that all hand tools must meet the United States Forest Service Specifications, and that alternate bids will be considered on products that meet or exceed the specified products. The agency will determine whether a product is "equal" to the specified brand names. The contract will be awarded to the offeror whose quote or proposal will best serve the interests of the contracting agency, taking into account price as well as considerations such as experience, expertise, product functionality, and suitability for the intended purpose. All pricing must be held firm for 30 days.
