About this file

This is a Request for Quotation (RFQ) document issued by Maynard Public Schools in Massachusetts for on-call electrical, lighting, and emergency electrical services. The RFQ seeks qualified electricians to provide services on an as-needed basis throughout the school district. The scope of work encompasses routine electrical maintenance, lighting installation and repair, emergency electrical response, and related electrical services at district facilities. Bidders are required to submit quotations by the specified deadline, with responses evaluated based on pricing, qualifications, experience, and ability to respond to emergency calls. The contract will be awarded to one or more qualified vendors and will remain in effect for a specified term, with potential renewal options subject to performance and continued need. Site visits are encouraged to familiarize bidders with district facilities and electrical systems.

The pricing structure requires bidders to submit hourly labor rates, material markups, and emergency service premiums as applicable. The contract may include set-asides for small businesses or disadvantaged vendors if applicable under Massachusetts procurement regulations. There is no incumbent vendor mentioned. Funding for services will be drawn from the district's operational and maintenance budgets as services are requested throughout the contract term. Bidders must demonstrate valid Massachusetts electrician licenses, appropriate insurance coverage including general liability and workers' compensation, and references from similar municipal or educational institution clients to qualify for consideration.
