About this file
This document is a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for components for a W-band receiver for the Quality BREAD Experiment. Fermi Research Alliance (FRA) is requesting firm fixed price quotations for the following items: 2 active frequency multipliers, 1 power amplifier, 1 cryogenic low-noise amplifier, 1 power supply, and 3 DC connectors. The RFQ provides detailed technical specifications and export classification information for each item. The RFQ is a low price technically acceptable source selection, with award to be made to the responsible supplier with the lowest evaluated price. The RFQ has a closing date of 11/06/2024, and all questions and communications must be made by that date. Pricing is requested on a FOB Fermilab Dock basis, and FRA's standard commercial terms and conditions apply. The contract resulting from this RFQ will be under the Department of Energy prime contract DE-AC02-07CH11359.

Item 4 Qty 1 Power Supply:LNF-PBA Low Noise Factory Low Noise Linear Power Block Powers up to Qty 8 LNF-PS3b's LNF-PS3b's are not included AC Input 115 VAC or 230VAC CE Certified: PBA is in compliance with EMC 2014/30/EU and LVD 2014/35/EU In accordance with: EN 61326-1:2013 and EN 61010-1:2010 Export Classification: EAR99 NLR: No Export License Required
Item 5 Qty 1 Power Supply:LNF-PS3b Low Noise Factory New LCD Constant Current LNA Linear Power Supply PS3b is redesigned from ground up using much lower noise components than PS3.
PS3b has a Vdsense function to measure the actual Vds across the LNA. This is useful in coolers which have large wire resistance.
PS3b has a power switch PS3b has a display power switch.
The drain voltage is regulated and adjustable within a wide range.
The gate voltage is automatically and continuously adjusted to give a set drain current.
Vd and ld are clearly displayed on the LCD monitor screen for easy bias control.
Vd and ld are set by trim potentiometers on the front panel.
The power supply is powered through the new linear power supply LNF-PBA Power Block An external linear power supply with +/-12VDC can be used instead of the LNF-PBA LNF-PS3b includes the following cables:
+ 1 Piece of LNF-CAB_PBA_PS3b, PS3b to PBA cable of 1.5 meters long.
+ 1 Piece of LNF-CAB_PS3b_LNA, PS3b to LNA cable of 2 meters long.
Note 1:
+ PS3b to PBA 5 Meter cable can be ordered for a small charge.
