About this file

This document is an Amendment No. 1 issued by the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) Central Purchasing Unit for Request for Quotes (RFQ) PR2423619 regarding a two-way radio system procurement for the Maple Lane facility. The amendment addresses four key bidder questions, including confirmation that a UPS is required with a 2-hour running time, clarification that floor plans will be available to the winning bidder, guidance on prevailing wage requirements, and confirmation that vehicle radios are not part of the current bid scope. The amendment provides official responses to help potential bidders understand the project's technical and procedural requirements, with proposals due by April 30, 2025.

The amendment does not specify detailed pricing terms, but the related contract opportunity summary indicates the procurement involves a comprehensive radio communication system with multiple considerations for diverse business participation. Bidders must complete a Contractor Inclusion Plan demonstrating commitment to minority-owned, women-owned, veteran-owned, and small businesses, with potential 5% bid preferences for environmentally considerate products. The solicitation encourages participation from microbusinesses, minibusinesses, and small businesses, suggesting an emphasis on supporting local and diverse business ecosystems while procuring critical communication infrastructure for the Maple Lane facility.
