About this file

This document is a Request for Quote (RFQ) #A251015976 issued by the California Governor's Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES) for Nuclear Power Preparedness (NPP) Equipment Calibration, specifically targeting State of California certified Small Businesses (SB). The RFQ seeks a contractor to calibrate electronic personal dosimeters, including SAIC PD 10i-s, SAIC PD-3i-s, and DoseRAE Dosimeters, with 88 total instruments to be calibrated. The contract term is from December 31, 2025, through December 30, 2026, with an option to extend for two additional twelve-month periods. Key dates include the RFQ release on October 1, 2025, a question submission deadline of October 20, 2025, Cal OES's response to questions by October 22, 2025, and the final RFQ due date of October 24, 2025.

The RFQ is structured as a Small Business option under Government Code Section 14838.5, which allows state agencies to contract with California certified Small Businesses or Disabled Veterans Business Enterprises for goods and services up to $249,999.99. The specific calibration services will involve performing instrument calibrations in accordance with ANSI standards, using NIST traceable sources, and providing comprehensive calibration reports. The contractor must be licensed by the California Department of Public Health or Nuclear Regulatory Commission, possess a current Radioactive Material License, and hold specific accreditations from national standards organizations. While the exact contract amount is to be determined (TBD), the document indicates the need for precise technical capabilities in radiation instrument calibration for emergency response preparedness.
