1.0 TITLE

Procurement of one (1) Brand-Name or Equal Revvity Envision Nexus Multimodal Plate Reader and Associated Instrumentation

2.0 BACKGROUND

The Urologic Oncology Branch (UOB), within the Center for Cancer Research (CCR), at the National Cancer Institute (NCI) is focused on the study of hereditary urologic cancer at the clinical, genetic and molecular levels. UOB performs clinical research contributing to the development of surgical and diagnostic procedures, and therapeutics against human Genitourinary Cancer. UOB has a clinical surgery patient tumor sample bank, tumor cell lines, blood or other samples in a branch repository. UOB is also engaged in translational research via clinical trials. In support of this translational research, UOB is collaborating with the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS) to screen small molecules inhibitors and perform combination matrix screens against several types of kidney cancers as well as bladder cancer. Research Toward a Cure is part of an ongoing effort by UOB researchers to develop tools that enhance scientists' technical capabilities and advance cancer research.

In support of this preclinical cancer research, the UOB requires one (1) Brand-Name or Equal Revvity Envision Nexus Multimode Plate Reader and associated instrumentation. This equipment will used for experiments to include protein estimation analysis, enzyme kinetic assays, competition binding experiments, viability cell death dual florescent assays, cytotoxicity assays, drug screening/ drug binding assays/FRET, NADPH/NADP and NADH/NAD detection assays, metabolic assays (glucose uptake, lactate secretion, ATP assays, colorimetric ROS measurement assays, ELISAs/EIAs, multiple caspase activation assays, Immunoassays, functional Kinase assay (Ca release, cAMP and cGMP measurement, B-arresting assays), drug dissolution profiles, and enzyme kinetics (e.g., Ki, Km, etc.).
