The requirement’s North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 334516 (Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing) with a size standard of 1,000 employees.

One Firm-Fixed-Priced award is anticipated to be made as a result of this solicitation.

1.0 BACKGROUND

This order is part of start-up ordering for initial equipment and reagents for a new laboratory focused on bladder cancer research at the Genitourinary Malignancies Branch (GMB), CCR, NCI, NIH. The laboratory uses multi-omics and in vitro/in vivo functional genomics approaches to identify cancer dependencies and biomarkers for response and survival in patients with cancer.

The laboratory’s overarching goal is to understand the genomic alterations that govern the development of bladder cancer and confer resistance to therapies. For this purpose, this new laboratory requires a Cell Analyzer system for a variety of experiments, including luminescence-based viability assays. Researchers of the Urologic Oncology Branch (UOB) will also use this instrument on a regular basis.
