Services will be performed at the Central Texas Veterans Health Care Facility in Temple at 1901 Veterans Memorial Drive, Temple, Texas 76504 at Building 204. After all work is completed, the contractor will have a walkthrough with the VA COR or Alternative COR to ensure all work is completed and ready to receive payment.

The contractor shall provide all personnel, services, vehicles, transportation, tools, equipment, knowledge, facility supervision, administration supervision and any other item(s) necessary to perform and accomplish this service. The contractor shall be familiar with all the terms, conditions, and requirement herein contained. All work must comply with federal, state, and local regulations.

3. Contractor shall install a new single gang cut-in box at the required height for room static pressure sensor. Lay out will be determined by the contractor at each individual location with COR approval.

4. Contractor shall install and connect 1/8” ID soft platinum-cured silicon tubing from the monitor to the pressure pick up port/room static pressure sensor. Tubing shall be concealed inside the wall.

5. Pressure Pickup Port (RPS) is installed in the primary monitored room and the monitor is installed in the reference area (typically a hallway). For the Inside Room application, the Pressure Pickup Port (RPS) should be installed in the reference area and the monitor is installed inside the primary monitored room. Lay out will be determined by the contractor at each individual location with COR approval.

6. Contractor shall use caution to locate the Pressure Pickup Port and monitor at least six (6) feet from air turbulence that may originate from air supply diffusers, slot diffusers, mobile equipment cooling fans, or other devices that may exhaust air in the direction of the ports. Air velocity blowing directly on these ports can cause inaccurate pressure measurement. It will be the sole responsibility of the contractor to correct any air disturbance issues to satisfy the requirements to achieve accurate pressure readings.

7. Contractor shall install Power (18-22 AWG recommended) and signal wire from each monitor inside the wall to the above ceiling 24-volt transformer.

8. Contractor shall mount a 24-volt transformer at the closest emergency 120-volt power at each sensor/monitor location.

12. Contractor shall program, configure, commission the monitoring system at each location to accurately display pressures and color coding as intended for negative or positive pressure rooms.

13. Contractor shall ensure that the monitoring systems are powered and operational for 30 minutes for warmup and acclimation for one-time pressure sensing stabilization.

14. Contractor shall smoke test each location to prove that the display pressures and color coding for negative or positive pressure rooms are correct.

15. It is contractor responsibility to provide the COR with a detailed list of all material needed to perform the installation of all thirty-nine VA provided negative/positive pressure sensor/monitor kits.

16. It is the contractor’s responsibility to transport, store and secure all VA provided kits, cables, boxes, sensors, monitors, components, and all associated materials for the duration of project.

17. It is the contractor’s responsibility to caulk all penetration.

18. It is the contractor’s responsibility to secure all cables, wires, and tubes to prevent touching sprinkler lines.

19. All demo, trash, debris shall be removed by contractor and removed from VA property daily.

20. All penetrations shall only be made while catching sheet rock dust with a HEPA VAC.

21. Removal of Demo through the hospital will be done in compliance with infection control standards.
