About this file
This document is an addendum to Request for Quotes (RFQ) #2024-27 issued by Clackamas County, Oregon for on-call residential fiber drop construction services as part of the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) broadband expansion project. The RFQ seeks qualified local outside plant construction companies to perform all or part of the outside fiber optic cable construction to residential sites to enhance broadband speeds. This addendum updates the pricing sheet for the CBX Drop Costs, including unit costs for various construction methods such as boring, trenching, plowing, and aerial installation, as well as pull fiber cable, splicing, risers, and home installation.
The pricing sheet provides detailed unit costs for different construction activities, materials, and equipment required for the residential fiber drop installations. This includes costs for 1-inch and 2-inch conduit, rock trenching, fiber cable pulling, splicing, riser installations, and home installation coordination and entry work. Contractors are required to provide pricing on the updated CBX Drop Costs sheet as part of their quotes for this on-call contract opportunity.

This would entail coordinating a time with the home owner, discussing location of building entry, performing the entry and coiling the new fiber drop in the house and mounting the ONT. All building penetrations need to be weather proof to ensure moister does not enter the home. CBX will provide the fiber cable and ONT. All other materials needed for the building entry will be the reasonability of the contractor.
