For skip striping (i.e., all locations except 79th Ave), the values shown in the column titled “4” Equivalent (ft)” were determined by dividing the total segment length by 4, which represents 10 feet of paint per 40 feet of roadway length. For locations where only a single milepoint is given, the length was determined by documentation indicating the number of skip stripes that need to be removed. For 79th Ave, the 4” equivalent was calculated by multiplying the length of centerline striping by 2 (solid 4” double yellow), and multiplying the length of each 8” white line by 2. Five (5) bike lane stencils shall be removed on 79th, each assumed to consist of 10 square feet of removal.
DO NOT REMOVE CROSSWALK BARS AND STOP BARS ON 79th AVE.
Use vacuum shrouded equipment or other equally effective containment procedures to contain and collect all removed pavement marking materials and spent abrasive, and dispose of according to Oregon Standard Specifications section 00290.20.
Remove legends so that the legend outline is not recognizable on the Pavement surface.
Do not remove more than 1/8 inch of Pavement during pavement marking removal.
The unit of measurement for pavement marking removal shall be per foot. The unit of measurement for legend removal shall be square foot. Payment shall be payment in full for furnishing all equipment, labor and incidentals necessary to complete the work as specified.
Work Zone Traffic Control When needed, provide temporary work zone traffic control in accordance with the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices and Oregon Temporary Traffic Control Handbook. Work will be performed on roadways that are open to public traffic. All work zone traffic control will be considered incidental and no separate payment will be made.
Prevailing Wage Prevailing Wage Rates requirements apply to this project because the maximum compensation for all owner-contracted work is more than $50,000. The selected contractor and all subcontractors shall comply with the provision of ORS 279C.800 through 279C.870, relative to the Prevailing Wage Rates and the required public works bond.
