About this file
This Addendum No. 1 document, issued by the San Diego County Department of Purchasing and Contracting on July 23, 2026, modifies the original RFQ 13209 for a 2026 or newer/unused Ford Transit T-350 ADA wheelchair cargo van for the Sheriff's Office. The addendum clarifies key vehicle specifications and passenger capacity requirements, specifying that the van must accommodate two wheelchair passengers and two ambulatory passengers. The document removes the requirement for a "removable" L-Track system, as the L-Track will be a fixed component. Additionally, the addendum clarifies that two folding seats positioned on the left-hand side behind the B-pillar are fixed seats designed to flip and fold rather than being moveable. A floorplan configuration image is referenced to guide vendors in quoting the exact specifications needed. The original RFQ 13209 had a questions submission deadline of July 22, 2026 at 5:00 PM and a quotation due date of July 28, 2026 at 5:00 PM, with delivery required by August 1, 2026.
Award is reserved exclusively for Small-Local Businesses as defined in San Diego County Board Policy B-53, requiring all offerors to submit a completed Small-Local Business Self-Certification Form for consideration. Pricing must be all-inclusive, covering the vehicle purchase, outfitting, BraunAbility Century 2 Series wheelchair lift installation, smart floor aluminum modular flooring, ADA-compliant securement systems, tire fees, California DMV electronic registration fees, documentation processing, extra programmed keys, shipping, and all associated labor costs, excluding sales tax. Payment terms are NET 30 for standard offerors, though qualified small-local businesses may receive NET 15 payment terms under Board Policy B-53. The contractor must deliver the vehicle with a full tank of fuel and provide a one-year warranty beginning upon County assignment for use, with responsibility for remedying any defects within 14 calendar days of notification at no cost to the County. The contracting officer is Sharon Heredia, Procurement Specialist, reachable at (619) 772-8527 or Sharon.Heredia@sdcounty.ca.gov.
