About this file

This document is a Response to Questions issued by the California Department of Water Resources (DWR) on February 19, 2025, regarding RFQ 10207079 for Mobile Equipment Diagnostic Software. The RFQ seeks to procure 10 standalone "rooftop" software licenses for DWR's Mobile Equipment Office (MEO) shops located throughout Southern, Central, and Northern California. The licenses are intended to provide diagnostic and reference software for automotive, light trucks, medium trucks, and heavy-duty trucks for a three-year period.

The document clarifies that the licenses requested are not mobile licenses but rather fixed location licenses for each of the 10 MEO shops. DWR indicates that specific location information will be provided to the winning vendor after award. The procurement is being managed by DWR's IT Contracts and Purchasing Services division.

DWR Response to Questions Mobile Equipment Diagnostic Software

February 19, 2025

Department of Water Resources (DWR) has provided the following responses to questions in regard to RFQ 10207079 for Mobile Equipment Diagnostic Software.

1. Typically this type of product license is done by the rooftop. For example, if Bob’s Automotive has 3 shops, Bob would purchase 3 subscriptions to be used in each shop. Are you asking about mobile licenses? If so there may be a different approach before quoting?

No. The 10 licenses solicited as part of this RFQ are standalone or “rooftop” locations. The DWR organization office is named the “Mobile Equipment Office” or MEO. There are 10 MEO shops, and DWR is looking for a product license for each of these locations.

2. Please list the 10 locations of the Mobile Equipment Office (MEO) shops.

The 10 locations are spread throughout California: including Southern, Central, and Northern California. The winning vendor will be provided with all pertinent information to supply DWR with licenses.
