PART II - Site Specific Information A. Background The USDA, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), Plant Protection and Quarantine Services (PPQ) intends to secure services including all labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, operating supplies, and incidentals necessary for applying Dimilin 2L over a specific area, located in small spray blocks in Box Elder county. The type of service is a full-service rangeland Treatment using Dimilin 2L. The contractor will provide all required Dimilin 2L, crop oil and water. The General Statement of Work lists general specifications, terms and conditions applicable to any contracts awarded under this RFQ.
B. Scope of Work The USDA, APHIS, Plant Protection and Quarantine requires aircraft, personnel, facilitating equipment, and services to apply pesticides. The objective is to reduce the grasshopper population in the project areas, which when combined is estimated to be 43,470 total acres with an estimated 21,735 treated/sprayed acres using alternating swath (spray, skip, spray) application.
C. Performance Requirement The type and amount of equipment and personnel needed to accomplish the contract work; including satellite geo-positioning guidance and recording device is the responsibility of the Contractor. The aircraft must have flat fan nozzles, the ability to accept/read shape files, ability to overlay spayed areas on a map after treatment and have radio contact with the contractor’s ground crew.
