About this file

This document is an Amendment 1 to a Request for Proposal (RFP) issued by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) Bureau of Grants and Purchasing for Parent Education - Home Based services in Midland and Gladwin Counties. The revised RFP aims to procure a provider to deliver parent education and related services to families at risk of having their children removed from the home due to abuse and/or neglect. Key changes include updated referral and service delivery requirements, such as faster response times, development of written service plans, use of evidence-based curricula, and regular progress reporting. The contractor must provide flexible scheduling, trained backup staff, and collaborate with MDHHS on service coordination and termination.

The RFP specifies detailed service requirements, including conducting home visits, administering parenting skills assessments, providing individualized services for up to six months, and facilitating access to community resources. Contractors must meet strict timelines for initiating services and submitting written plans and reports. Termination of services requires coordination with MDHHS. The contract term and any renewal options are not explicitly stated in the provided documentation.
