About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers document related to a Request for Proposal (RFP) issued by the State of Michigan for In-Home Family Services in Alpena and Montmorency Counties. The RFP is seeking a provider to deliver services that will guide parents and children to increase the parents' confidence and competence in their parenting abilities, with the goal of preventing the removal of children from their homes due to abuse or neglect.

The document addresses several bidder questions, including whether the state tracks no-show rates, whether transportation and assistance can be transitioned to units if unspent, exceptions to the bachelor's degree credential requirement, required state trainings, and reimbursement for transporting families. The responses indicate that the annual delivery order amount is the total allocated for the fiscal year and does not have specific budget lines, that an associate's degree with two years' experience may be considered, and that face-to-face contact during transportation is billable under the unit rate.

If a bachelor’s degree level candidate is not available, the county MDHHS director and the MDHHS CSA Family Preservation office may consider and approve or deny an associate’s degree level candidate who has a minimum of two years’ experience working with families.
