Questions and Answers/CRNA Services/Pine Ridge, South Dakota.
1. Is this a new requirement or is there an incumbent contractor? If incumbent, who is the incumbent & what is the current rate?
Yes, there is an incumbent contract which will be expiring outcome February 11, 2022 That is Rice Solutions. You can submit a FOIA request through foia.gov.
2. What is the on call rotation/schedule?
Rotation/Schedule. We solicited for a minimum of 2 but feel 3 would create a better call schedule. Or they can have more candidates cleared so that they spread the call out more. We are 24/7 coverage so Regular hours Monday – Friday and then they would split nights and weekends based on how many the company proposes. The recent vendor has been doing that where there are 3 splitting it. We require the vendor to provide a CALL schedule a minimum of the month at a time and prior to the 1st of each month for the coming period. This must be posted for JC regulations and use by the ER and Surgery teams.
3. Are the CRNAs independent or supervised by an Anesthesiologist?
Our Clinical Director is the Director of Anesthesiology but is not an Anesthesiologist, he is a surgeon. He oversees the program and directs all care.
