About this file

This document is a Request for Proposal (RFP) issued by the Iowa Prison Industries (IPI) for the State of Iowa regarding RFB No. 116. The RFP seeks proposals to provide chemicals and service for the state's warewash and laundry business. Bidders must submit their proposals in an Excel spreadsheet in the same order as the IPI's list of products. The resulting contract(s) may be awarded by line item, and bidders must note if their proposal is an all or nothing offer. Proposals must be received by email at iowaprisonindbids@iowa.gov by 03/01/2024.

The RFP outlines special instructions for bidders, including pricing products separately, showing the F.O.B. point if not delivered, and providing the unit of measure. Bidders must agree not to engage in discriminatory employment practices and comply with all applicable state statutes. Preference will be given to products and provisions grown and coal produced within the State of Iowa per the state's statutory authority.
