About this file

This is a Preventative Maintenance Checklist (Appendix K) for RFP#0441 issued by Sacramento County to establish maintenance protocols for Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) fueling stations operated by the County's Fleet Services Division and Department of Airports. The RFP seeks to contract with a qualified service provider to deliver preventative maintenance and repair services for two CNG fueling stations. Preventative maintenance is scheduled twice monthly and must be performed according to the comprehensive checklist provided, which covers multiple system components including compressors and controls, priority panels and gas storage, gas dryers, dispensers and fill posts, and leak detection across all pre-compression and post-compression lines. The contract will be awarded for an initial one-year term with the option for the County to extend for up to four additional one-year terms by mutual agreement. The County reserves the right to make multiple contract awards if determined to be in its best interest and does not guarantee any specific dollar amount or volume of services under the resulting contract.

The sample preventative maintenance checklist provided details specific operational parameters and inspection requirements that must be recorded during each scheduled service visit, including compressor hours, oil levels, pressure readings across five compression stages, discharge temperatures, dew point measurements, and condensate drain volumes. The County will conduct daily inspections of the CNG stations, and the awarded contractor must provide a daily inspection checklist for County employee use. All preventative maintenance checklists must be submitted for County approval prior to use. The checklist includes provisions for technician time tracking, mileage documentation, and notation of any recommendations for additional service required, with signature lines for completion by both the service technician and County customer representative.
