About this file
This document is Addendum #1 for RFP-RH-24-037, a Request for Proposal (RFP) issued by the City of Rochester Hills, Michigan for Full Treatment Pest Control Services. The RFP seeks a contractor to provide comprehensive pest control services for various city-owned buildings for a one-year period, with options to renew for two additional one-year terms. A voluntary site visit was held on August 6, 2024, at City Hall, and sealed proposals will be accepted online via the MITN website until 3:00 p.m. EST on August 20, 2024. The pest control services will cover interior and exterior areas, targeting pests including ants, bees, centipedes, flies, mice, rats, roaches, and other common regional insect species.
The addendum includes detailed meeting notes and a questions-and-answers section that clarifies key service details. Notable points include: no liquid pest control during monthly visits (except park locations from April-August), no exterior bait boxes used, wasp nest treatments are on-call services, and the monthly service primarily involves checking and replacing interior bait boxes. The city's Facilities Department maintains all buildings, and the pest control contract specifically does not cover trees, lawns, or shrubs. Specialty bug problem calls are typically for ants, earwigs, or bees, and will be scheduled as needed. The contractor will be required to provide insurance, SDS sheets, and work with Facilities to establish a service schedule.
