About this file

This is a Request for Proposal (RFP) issued by the Brazos River Authority (BRA) for the East Williamson County Regional Water System (EWCRWS) 1B1D Projects in Texas. The project encompasses two critical expansion phases for the BRA's East Williamson County Water Treatment Plant (EWCWTP). Phase 1B focuses on Trinity Well Infrastructure Improvements, which will install cooling towers to treat up to 4 million gallons per day (MGD) of groundwater from the existing Trinity Well #1 for blending with treated surface water from Granger Lake. Phase 1B also includes chemical monitoring and distribution systems, stormwater system upgrades, electrical and automation improvements, and access road enhancements. Phase 1D represents the short-term expansion, designed to treat up to 13 MGD of additional surface water from Granger Lake through expanded raw water pumping capacity, upgraded storage reservoir components, enhanced chemical and electrical systems, new rapid mix and clarification systems, additional filter systems, backwash basin improvements, and an additional 4.25 million-gallon finished water storage capacity. Phase 1D also includes a new medium service pump station for water transmission to existing and potential BRA customers. Phase 1B has priority in the construction schedule.

The RFP solicits proposals for design, engineering, and construction services to complete both project phases. Specific pricing terms, bid amounts, evaluation criteria, proposal submission deadlines, project award dates, and contract term duration are detailed within the RFP documentation. The project is funded through BRA resources and represents a strategic infrastructure investment to expand the regional water system's capacity and operational resilience for current and future customer demands in East Williamson County.
