About this file

This is a Request for Proposal (RFP) document issued by the Arlington Housing Authority in Arlington, Massachusetts for integrated pest management services. The RFP solicits comprehensive pest management services including inspection, treatment, and prevention of pest infestations across the Authority's residential properties. The proposal requires bidders to provide detailed service plans outlining treatment methodologies, frequency of service visits, pesticide application protocols, and emergency response procedures. Bidders must submit proposals by the specified deadline, with evaluation criteria focusing on technical qualifications, experience with housing authority properties, pricing competitiveness, and compliance with integrated pest management best practices. The contract term is for one year with options for renewal, allowing the Arlington Housing Authority to extend services based on performance and continued need.

The RFP establishes pricing terms requiring bidders to submit fixed monthly or unit-based costs for pest management services across all designated properties within the Authority's portfolio. Bidders must demonstrate insurance coverage, licensing in Massachusetts pest control operations, and references from comparable municipal or housing authority clients. The incumbent contractor's performance history, if applicable, should be considered as a baseline for service expectations. Funding for the contract is provided through the Arlington Housing Authority's operational budget, with costs allocated to property maintenance and facility management line items. The RFP emphasizes compliance with environmental regulations, safe pesticide handling protocols, and documentation of all treatments performed to maintain transparency and resident safety standards.
