About this file
This Request for Quotation (RFQ) is issued by Delton Kellogg Schools (DKS) for the purchase and installation of new AV equipment for their High School Gymnasium and Auditorium. The project involves replacing existing audio systems with comprehensive new speaker, microphone, amplification, and digital signal processing equipment across multiple school spaces. Key components include wall-mounted equipment racks, voice amplification systems with wireless microphones, performance speaker systems for bleachers, floor, mezzanine, and auditorium spaces, digital signal processors, amplifiers, and overhead microphones. The RFQ responses were due by 12:00 pm on July 26, 2019, with the project timeline targeting final vendor presentations in the week of July 29th, contractor selection by August 16th, work commencement in the week of August 26th, substantial completion by September 30th, and project close-out by October 25th.
The project includes specific allowances totaling $5,500 - $2,500 for electrical upgrades and $3,000 for network cabling infrastructure upgrades, to be directed at the owner's discretion. The contractor will be responsible for full installation, certification, and support of the system, including equipment transportation, delivery, mounting, cabling, and integration with existing infrastructure. The RFQ emphasizes that the document is for information gathering and does not guarantee equipment purchase, and that DKS will not be liable for any costs incurred by vendors in responding to the request. Acceptable manufacturers for various system components are listed, with "or equal" options permitted, suggesting flexibility in equipment selection while maintaining specified performance standards.
