Summary of RFP for Security Doors and Locks 2026

This Request for Proposal (RFP) document outlines the Metropolitan Housing Authority (MHA) of Georgia's procurement for the furnishing and installation of smart security entry doors and locks at multiple MHA properties. The project seeks qualified contractors to provide comprehensive solutions combining both hardware supply and professional installation services. The RFP specifies requirements for smart security door systems and associated locking mechanisms designed to enhance property security across the housing authority's portfolio. Contractors must submit proposals addressing installation methodologies, product specifications, timelines, and project management approaches. The document establishes submission deadlines, evaluation criteria, and contractual terms governing the selection process and implementation of awarded work.

The pricing structure requires contractors to provide detailed cost breakdowns for materials, labor, and installation services across all designated MHA properties. The RFP may include provisions for small business set-asides or local contractor preferences consistent with Georgia procurement regulations. Funding for this project derives from MHA's capital improvement budget and potentially from federal housing grants or other designated funding sources. The contract term and any renewal or extension options are specified within the RFP framework, establishing the period during which the contractor will maintain service obligations and warranty coverage for installed smart security systems.
