STATEMENT OF WORK

Statement of Work

1.0 Introduction

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) Metrology and Calibration (METCAL) Program has a requirement to procure Mechanical Technology, Inc. (DBA MTI Instruments) Precision Signal System (PSS) kits, Precision System Source Kit model number M/N 8000-7060 and the MTI Charge Calibration Kits M/N 8000-7152. Both the M/N 8000-7060 and the M/N 8000-7152 support the MTI Model 1510A Precision Signal Simulator. The M/N 1510A system with the fore mentioned kits provides METCAL with a means to simulate velocity transducers and accelerometers for in-place testing of various signal conditioning and indicating equipment.

2.0 Background

The Precision Signal Source kit and Charge Calibration Kit will be utilized in the NAVAIR Metrology and Calibration (METCAL) Program to calibrate vibration systems on most engine and power unit test stands. The PSS generates a signal that simulates an accelerometer or velocity meter. This signal is then used to verify the performance of the signal conditioning components and the indicator of the vibration system. The kits are capable of generating both charge and voltage signals, which is necessary given the variety of NAVAIR vibration support equipment. The PSS is a replacement for aging and failing CEC model 2700-0101.

3.0 Scope

The scope of this effort is to procure an initial QTY 3 of each kit and a maximum QTY 100 of each kit.
