The RFP solicits proposals from qualified contractors to provide all labor, material, and equipment necessary to manufacture and deliver one 10MVA transformer (XQT-3) with an option to also provide one 20MVA transformer (XQT-1) to PPPL. The base scope is for the 10MVA transformer, with the 20MVA transformer as an optional item. The procurement is unrestricted and the NAICS code is 335311 Power, Distribution, and Specialty Transformer Manufacturing. A pre-proposal videoconference is scheduled for October 9, 2024, and proposals are due by November 1, 2024. The full RFP package can be downloaded from the PPPL procurement website.
