About this file

This document is a Request for Proposal (RFP) from Hertford County Public Schools (HCPS) in North Carolina for a 6-12 English Language Arts (ELA) curriculum. HCPS is seeking both printed and digital ELA curriculum materials to be implemented for the 2024-25 school year, with a 3-5 year review process. The district provided enrollment details by grade level for grades 6-12, with 5 teachers per grade. HCPS requires at least two references from majority black & brown districts and/or rural counties. Proposals will be reviewed in March 2023, with a final decision communicated in early April and purchase orders issued in May.

HCPS is open to considering both single and multiple vendors for this contract opportunity. The district requires pricing information but does not have a specific format. HCPS will allow purchase orders to be sent directly to vendors in lieu of using an e-procurement site. The district will only consider programs that align to the North Carolina ELA curriculum, with vendor interaction primarily focused on teachers rather than direct student engagement.
