About this file
The document is a Request for Proposal (RFP) 25-072 from Ottawa County, Michigan, soliciting tree removal and replanting services for the Fillmore Complex Correctional Facility in West Olive. The project involves removing 21 trees, grinding stumps, disposing of debris, backfilling with topsoil, reseeding, and replanting 9 new trees. The RFP requires vendors to have a minimum of three years of experience in commercial tree removal and replanting, with preference given to those with experience working on secured or public properties. Vendors must provide detailed proposals addressing company history, experience, qualifications, work plan, and approach, including methods for safe tree removal, site restoration, and coordination with the County's Operations Coordinator.
The pricing form requires vendors to submit a comprehensive cost breakdown for each project component, including unit costs for tree removal, stump grinding, replacement trees, and additional services like utility verification and site protection. All prices must account for weekend or off-hour work as specified by the County. The proposal must remain valid for 120 days from submission, and vendors are required to provide three references from similar projects completed within the past three years. The RFP emphasizes the importance of minimizing disruption to County operations, ensuring site safety, and providing a thorough and professional approach to the tree removal and replanting services.
