About this file

This is Addendum #2 issued by the City of Commerce for RFP 25-007 Electric Circuit Installation to address bidder questions about technical specifications and project requirements. The project involves installing underground electric circuits with a planned start date of April 21, 2025. Key technical specifications include wire reels between 2,500-2,700 feet in length, 6-inch conduit for road bores, and right-of-way requirements of 40 feet from centerline on Mount Olive Road and Ridgeway Road, and 20 feet from center on Haggard Road.

The addendum clarifies that TC units will have ground rods, no splicing will be required due to TC cabinet spacing, and contractors must test wires before energizing. The site will be prepared for three-phase transformer installation. No change orders will be approved for rock encounters during construction, and the work must remain underground. Any change orders related to amounts exceeding the contracted amount require pre-approval from both the Project Manager and Finance Director. Additional pipe will only be provided if rock is encountered during construction.
