About this file

This document is a bidder Q&A response sheet for RFP 240000002823 issued by the State of Michigan for Auctioneering Services. The State of Michigan seeks to engage an auctioneer to sell unclaimed property held in safe deposit boxes, which typically includes jewelry, collectible coins and currency, stamps, and sports cards or memorabilia. The scope explicitly excludes real property, vehicles, and heavy equipment from the auction services. The State prefers online auctions as the primary method due to their broader audience reach and potential for higher prices, though it retains the option to conduct live auctions if circumstances warrant such events.

The bidder Q&A responses indicate the State's strategic preference for online auction platforms while maintaining operational flexibility. No specific information regarding pricing terms, contract duration, renewal options, funding amounts, or award dates is provided in this response document, as it functions solely as clarification of the service requirements and auction methodology expectations.
