About this file
This document is an Addendum to Request for Proposals (RFP) No. 24-104 for Online Tutoring Services issued by the North Clackamas School District 12 located in Clackamas County, Oregon. The RFP seeks qualified and experienced providers of 24/7, unlimited, one-on-one online tutoring for grades 6-12 district-wide, with an estimated potential of 9,500 students. The addendum makes several changes to the original RFP, including replacing "Synergy" with "Classlink" for software integration, adding requirements for tutor screening and background checks, and allowing for contract exceptions and modifications to be considered during negotiations.
The addendum also provides clarification on several questions, including allowing for proposers to submit their own contract terms, confirming student data will be provided via Classlink integration, and stating the district is open to discussing the background check process. The solicitation remains open with the original due date, and the district welcomes proposals from all qualified entities, including those able to provide tutoring in a variety of languages beyond the most common ones specified.

Question 3: Attachment A (Sample Contract), Section 11 (Sensitive Information) ‐ Could the District please confirm that, to the extent disclosures are required as a part of the provision of services and are in compliance with applicable laws, that such disclosures are exempted from the requirement not to disclose in this paragraph?
Answer 3: The last sentence of Section 11 addresses employees and subcontractors. Any additional exceptions would need to be negotiated.
Question 4: Attachment A (Sample Contract), Section 11 (Sensitive Information) ‐ Could the District please confirm that it will be providing the necessary student data through Clever or Classlink data integration, and that the District will have obtained all consents as may be necessary for such disclosures under applicable privacy laws?
Answer 4: Student data will be provided via Classlink data integration and consent for data provided by the district via Classlink shall be obtained by the district.
Question 5: Attachment A (Sample Contract), Section 16 (Background Checks) ‐ In order to best respect our employees’ privacy, would the District accept certification of completed background checks of its tutors in satisfaction of the requirements of this clause?
Answer 5: The district must comply with adopted background check laws, rules, and policies. The district is willing to discuss the process for background checks as part of contract negotiations but the state of Oregon requirements must be met.
Question 6: The RFP contains the language “Accessible to all students (culturally relevant and multilingual). The district serves students who speak a variety of languages. Tutoring support in their first language for students who speak English, Spanish, Vietnamese, Russian and Chinese is highly desired.” Can an Arabic/English Contractor/Speaker participate in this Solicitation?
Answer 6: The languages listed is the RFP are the most commonly spoken languages by students and families in North Clackamas School District. All interested entities able to provide the full range of services requested in the RFP for the estimated 9,500 students are encouraged to submit a Proposal.
Proposers that provide tutoring in a wide variety of languages will receive a higher score.
Question 7: In items 7 and 8, high‐dosage tutoring is requested as an optional service. Please indicate or estimate the subject areas you are seeking to provide, grade levels, and approximate number of students who might be included in receiving high‐dosage tutoring services.
Answer 7: The district is interested in understanding what is available and associated pricing for high‐ dosage tutoring for the grades included in the RFP (6‐12). The interest is to address learning loss especially in math, science and other core subjects.
Question 8: In the Project Overview/Scope of Work/Expectations #7, you mention Synergy and Google Classrooms. Can you tell us a little more about which applications you envision integrating online tutoring with Synergy?
Answer 8: This reference has been corrected with this addendum.
The date and time for submission remain the same.
