About this file

This is an addendum to RFP 23-41, issued by a Georgia school district seeking to adopt a comprehensive Tier 1 Reading/English Language Arts curriculum resource for implementation across all elementary, middle, and high schools. The solicitation addresses bidder questions regarding proposal submission requirements, pilot program parameters, and curriculum alignment standards. The original proposal closing date is May 4, 2023, at 2:00 P.M. (ET). The district provided detailed enrollment and staffing information: total student enrollment ranges from 1,750 to 3,352 students across grade levels kindergarten through twelfth grade, with corresponding teacher allotments ranging from 54 to 141 teachers per grade level. The pilot program will require a minimum of three teachers/classrooms per grade level per vendor, with maximum class sizes varying from 24 students in kindergarten to 36 students in grades nine through twelve. Curriculum materials must align with the district's currently adopted Georgia ELA standards.

The addendum clarifies that the district will accept proposals for core ELA programs that demonstrate implementation alongside foundational skills partners and prefers submissions providing pricing both as bundled packages and for individual programs separately. All printed samples must be provided to the district free of charge and delivered within one week of request to Shuman Elementary School in Savannah, Georgia. The contract is structured as an annual contract with the potential for ongoing adoption and implementation across the district's K-12 system, making it a significant multi-year commitment requiring vendor materials and professional support aligned with district standards and student population needs.
