About this file
This document is a Request for Proposal (RFP) issued by the Gordon County School System (GCSS) for the provision of a remanufactured diesel engine for a 2008 Navistar International school bus. The RFP outlines the scope of work, which includes the removal of the current engine and installation of a remanufactured Max Force DT diesel engine, as well as the requirements for warranties and timelines. Proposals are due by 2:00 PM EST on February 5, 2024, and the contract will be awarded to the responsible vendor whose proposal is determined to be the most advantageous and of the best value to the GCSS.
The RFP provides detailed pricing requirements, including separate line items for the bus engine, parts, labor, and towing. It also requires the submission of three letters of reference and information on any past defaults or denials of proposals. The GCSS reserves the right to waive non-compliance with any requirements of the RFP and to reject any or all proposals. The selection will be based on an evaluation of the services, qualifications, responsiveness, experience, and overall cost, with a 10-point advantage given to local proposers whose pricing is within 5% of the lowest proposal.
