About this file
This document is a Request for Proposal (RFP) issued by the City of Douglasville, Georgia for Commercial Solid Waste Collection Services. The City is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to provide commercial collection services within the Douglasville city limits, excluding a designated downtown business district that the City will service directly. The RFP includes an estimated timeline, with a mandatory pre-proposal conference scheduled for September 25, 2024 and a submission deadline of October 11, 2024. The City currently services 658 Front End Load (FEL) and 133 Roll-Off (RO) commercial customers. The selected vendor will be responsible for maintenance, repair, and replacement of the City-owned FEL containers, as well as providing containers for RO collection.
The RFP offers two billing options - either the City handling billing and invoicing commercial customers, or the vendor handling direct invoicing of customers. The evaluation criteria include operational capacity and staffing, experience and past performance, service approach, and cost proposal. Vendors are required to provide documentation of insurance coverage and compliance with Georgia's Security and Immigration Act. The contract term is not specified, but the City reserves the right to renew at its discretion.
