REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS #2022-04
DYNANOMETER
RESPONSE TO CLARIFYING QUESTIONS
March 2, 2022
Note that these are questions submitted by interested firms to this solicitation. The below answers are for clarification purposes only and in no way alter or amend the RFP as published.
1. QUESTION: In the background information, you are requesting we identify specific person(s) who are responsible for the projects. Are you looking for the responsible person overseeing the project on the supplier side or customer/client side?
ANSWER: This refers to the name of the person on the supplier side.
2. QUESTION: In the bid price form, you have listed one line item, whereas this would typically be quoted as two or three (with shipping) lines. Do you want us to sum the items and just supply the total price or would you like it kept with a line breakdown? Are we supposed to include a formal quotation as well or just the cost summary?
ANSWER: Bid pricing must be FOB Scappoose, Oregon and include all taxes, tariffs, delivery, and setup costs. Please breakdown the total price as necessary to provide sufficient detail. Please include the cost summary and formal quotation.
3. QUESTION: I notice the bid has a requirement for a UL listing. As this equipment is not a machine (meaning not needing an electrician or permit) but does plug into a wall, do you still require a UL listing?
ANSWER: It is fine to consider the equipment without the UL listing.
