(b) Identify signs of deterioration, damage, or deficiency, including cracking, warping, corrosion, loose or missing fasteners, connection movement, or other structural issues.
(c) Document the findings with photographs, location references, and detailed notes.
Identify any connections that are inaccessible, concealed, or otherwise not fully evaluated.
5.1.4 Existing-Condition Plans
(a) Develop field-verified existing-condition structural framing plans using information gathered from the field survey and testing. Clearly distinguish observed and measured conditions from assumed, concealed, or otherwise unverified conditions.
5.2 Structural Analysis
5.2.1 Load Capacity Assessment

(a) Develop engineering designs to address section loss caused by termite activity.
(b) Specify repair methods, materials, installation requirements, and required temporary supports necessary to achieve the design criteria identified in the
Contractor’s approved design basis.
(c) Identify conditions requiring replacement rather than repair and any additional termite treatment or investigation recommended before construction.
5.3.2 Connection Retrofit Design
(a) Design retrofits for deficient or damaged connections to meet the applicable codes, standards, and design criteria identified in the Contractor’s design basis.
(b) Provide drawings, specifications, calculations, and installation details for the reinforcement or replacement of connections, as needed.
