About this file

This document is an Addendum to a Request for Proposals (RFP) issued by Isothermal Community College in North Carolina for custodial services at their Spindale campus. The RFP seeks sealed bids from qualified vendors to provide these services. The addendum addresses various questions and answers related to the scope of work, including the frequency of events at the college's facilities, current staffing levels, required consumables and equipment, holiday schedules, and contract terms. Key details include the proposal opening date of November 4, 2024, and the college's desire for bidders to submit two proposals - one reflecting an attrition model where the current employees are retained, and another with the contractor providing all custodial staff.

Regarding pricing, the addendum notes that the monthly price should include all consumable products such as paper products and soap. The college currently has a custodial staff of 9, with plans to have 6 as of January 1, 2025, and an optimal total of 11. The awarded contractor will be responsible for adding new employees as current staff retire or leave. The college will continue to employ the current staff, and the awarded contractor can determine pay and benefits for any new hires.
